Since 2004, Louise Zylan has had the opportunity to work as a Naturopath in both clinical practice and education. Louise has enjoyed being involved in the development, accreditation and reaccreditation of Naturopathic, Nutritional and Western Herbal Medicine degrees at the major Australian providers. Currently Louise is a lecturer, clinical supervisor and post graduate mentor whilst completing her PhD. Louise’s PhD is a community based participatory research project in the development and implementation of a nutritional education program for people with intellectual disabilities. Her passion for improving the health and wellbeing of people with disabilities stems from her shared lived experience as a mother to a child with cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability.
